Jonathan Kapsis has over 20 years of media and marketing research experience, including leadership roles at the world’s most valuable company Apple, wireless technology pioneer Qualcomm and marketing trailblazer Anheuser-Busch.

Jonathan currently leads the Global Marketing Insights and Analytics team at Apple Advertising Platforms, a group that makes it possible for people around the world to easily access informative and imaginative content on their devices while helping publishers and developers promote and monetize their work.

Prior to joining Apple, Jonathan was head of Research & Analytics at Delivery Agent, Inc., where he oversaw consumer research and data product strategy for the company’s advanced advertising and contextual commerce platform.

Previously, Jonathan was the president and founder of Insights & Analytics LLC, a strategic consulting and media research firm specializing in audience analytics, consumer insights and market intelligence — clients included Intel Corporation, Delivery Agent, McKinnon Broadcasting, FanVision, Mobile Content Venture (MCV), Open Mobile Video Coalition (OMVC) and iHigh Marketing.

Prior to forming Insights & Analytics LLC, Jonathan was head of research at Qualcomm’s FLO™ subsidiary, where he partnered with leading content providers, wireless carriers and research and analytics suppliers to build and commercialize an industry-standard mobile TV audience measurement and reporting system. In addition to providing the industry’s first comprehensive look at mobile TV viewing behavior, Jonathan’s team served as “the voice of the consumer,” helping internal stakeholders and external partners understand the complex dynamics of the mobile TV market.

Before joining Qualcomm, Jonathan led the media research and competitive intelligence group at Anheuser-Busch in St. Louis, MO, providing insights and analytics that guided media strategy for the world’s top-selling beer brands and theme parks.

Jonathan started his career in local television, working as a Senior Analyst at ABC National TV Sales/The Walt Disney Company in New York, and then as Research Director at KOIN-TV, the CBS-affiliate in Portland, OR. Jonathan also previously served as a Development Assistant at the legendary Carnegie Hall in New York.

Jonathan has a Master of Arts degree in Communications and Mass Culture from Hunter College of the City University of New York and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Communication Arts from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.

Throughout his career, Jonathan has participated in key industry events and committees, including serving on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Media Rating Council (MRC) and co-chairing the Advertising Research Foundation’s (ARF) Annual Week of Workshops.
